Babette Hoffman, 51, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at home, with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 17, 1974, in Mount Carmel, the daughter of Doyle L. and Connie J. (Wilkinson) Bradley. On November 5, 2011, she married the love of her life, Michael Joe Hoffman, and together they enjoyed almost fifteen years of marriage centered around their big blended family.
Babette was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, Class of 1992, and later earned her certification as a Teacher’s Aide. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Babette cherished spending time with her family, especially family get-togethers and camping trips with friends. Above all, she treasured watching her children and grandchildren grow and enjoyed being a loving and devoted part of their lives. Babette’s most proud moment was when she earned the title of Mimi. Her love and presence will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Babette leaves behind her husband, Mike; children, Rilee Dearing and husband Chris, Rikki Slayton, Kaelyn Belcher and husband, Dakota, Heather Doan, Draden Hoffman and wife Eldonna, Faith Hoffman; grandchildren, Madison and Kylo Dearing, Hadley and Charlee Slayton, Stella Belcher, Zayden Doan, Elias Stoltz, Alex Hoffman, Arlo Hoffman, Tommy Hoffman; parents; Doyle and Connie Bradley; mother-in-law, Liz Hoffman; brothers, Brian Bradley and wife Melissa, Brett Bradley and wife Terri; brother-in-law, Kevin Frerking; many loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Babette was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Cova Wilkinson; paternal grandparents, Doyle and Mildred Bradley; uncles, Victor and Rocky Bradley; father-in-law, Tom Hoffman; sister-in-law, Shelly Frerking.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2026, At St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Zwilling officiating. A Private Burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Babette’s memory to St. Mary’s Church, St. Mary School, or Charles Ford Hospice in Harmony. Envelopes will be at the Church, or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
