Melvin E. “Butch” Miller, 77, of Keensburg, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at his residence. He was born on May 3, 1949, at home in Mount Carmel, the son of Melvin W. and Mary (Adams) Miller.
Butch enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and spending time at Adams Fish Shack along the river. He also loved hunting and looked forward to every opportunity to be outdoors. In his younger years, Butch loved riding horses, and throughout his life, he always enjoyed going for a drive hunting for coyotes and groundhogs. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Butch will be remembered by his sister, Mary Etta Deisher; nephew, Danny Deisher; nieces, Donna Meadows, Janet Arnold, and Theresa Rose.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Peggy Devore; niece, Vickie Brand.
A Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Harrison Cemetery in Lancaster, Illinois.
