Sally Ann Voigt, 80

Sally Ann Voigt, formerly of Mt. Carmel, passed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on May 27, 2026, at Manchester Rehab and Health Center in Ballwin, Missouri.

Sally was born in Mt. Carmel to James H. and Golda L. (Dixon) Voigt on April 19, 1946. She graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and then earned an associate degree from Wabash Valley College.

She started working, while in school, as a newspaper girl passing the Daily Republican Register. After getting her associate’s degree she went to work for the Register in the Advertising Department and worked her way up eventually becoming the Manager of the Department. After over thirty-five years with the Register she went to work for WYNG FM in advertising where she worked for several years. She was also involved with many different projects in Mt. Carmel, including Chamber of Commerce, Ag Days and March for Life among others. Sally was a member of the Mt. Carmel Free Methodist Church where she held several different offices.

For several years Sally coached softball for young girls and sometimes, at the same time, she was coaching and playing in the women’s softball league.

She is survived by her brother James L. Voigt of O’Fallon, MO along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sally was proceeded in death by her parents James and Golda; infant sister, Joe Ann; and brother Larry E. Voigt.

A Graveside Service will be scheduled at Highland Memorial Cemetery at a later date. When services are scheduled, the obituary will be updated.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sally’s memory directly to Mt. Carmel Free Methodist Church, the Alzheimers Association or Hope Pregnancy & Resource Center.
