Kevin J. Marchal, 47

Kevin J. Marchal, 47, of Princeton, Indiana, died a hero saving his son’s life on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Hindostan Falls in Daviess County, Indiana.  He was born on July 20,1975 in Fort Belvoir, VA, the son of Patrick J. Marchal and Becky (Tredway) Gehl.  He married Sarah Stinson on June 2, 2018, and they have enjoyed five years of marriage centered around their family.

 Kevin enjoyed the simple things in life.  He was very family oriented and frequently, he and Aria would spend a whole “daddy/daughter” day together, having lots of fun, especially spinning, and twirling all around. Kevin loved supporting and helping to train Levi and Liam in all of their sporting activities.  He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially fishing and arrowhead hunting.  He liked a good game of euchre, was quite crafty and loved to do woodworking.   Kevin was known as a fixer of all things which came in handy with his desire to help others.  He was a Licensed Insurance Sales Agent for American Senior Benefits and was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church in rural Gibson County, Indiana.  Kevin was a loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew, and uncle.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

 Kevin leaves behind his beloved wife, Sarah; sons, Levi & Liam Morris; daughter, Aria Marchal; mother, Becky Tredway Gehl and husband Dave; brother, Jim Marchal; sisters, Tammy Marchal Morris, and Leanne Marchal; mother and father-in-law, Sherry, and Tim Stinson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  

 Kevin was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Verle and Patty Tredway; paternal grandparents, Noah, and Annabelle Marchal.

 Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2023, at Heartland Worship Center in Mount Carmel, Illinois. 

 Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2023, at Heartland Worship Center, with Pastor Tony Hodgson officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairview Church Cemetery in Princeton, Indiana, with Pastor Tony officiating and Deacon Steve Andrews offering a prayer.

 Memorial contributions may be made in Kevin’s memory to Sarah Marchal to aid the family in final and future expenses.  Envelopes will be at the church or may be mailed in care of Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
