Connie L (Robinson) Eldridge, 75, of Wadesville Indiana, formerly of Allendale, Illinois, passed on to her heavenly home while at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana, on Saturday, January 28, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Connie was born to Conrad and Wanda (Wade) Robinson in Princeton, Indiana on December 30,1947. She married the love of her life, Roger Eldridge, on October 27, 1968, and together they enjoyed over 55 years together.
Connie was a 1966 graduate of Allendale High School. She graduated from Beauty College while attending High School and later owned and operated a beauty salon, O'Haira House, with her business partner, Helen Harris, for several years. After high school, Connie attended Eastern Illinois University seeking a teaching degree. While at Eastern, she met and married her beloved husband, Roger. After raising their children, Connie finished her teaching degree at Oakland City College. She worked in the fields of Child Development and social work until she retired. Connie loved to travel, and she and Roger spent many years wintering in Florida. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Connie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Connie is survived by her husband; daughter, Stephanie Duncan and husband Mark; son, Eric Eldridge and wife, La Tonya; two grandsons, Austin (Rebekah) O'Risky and Jacob O’Risky; two great granddaughters, Addyson and Zoey O'Risky.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Adams Corner Cemetery with Pastor Nelson Reiber officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
A Celebration of Life will be held, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Zion Lippe UCC, 9000 Copperline Rd., Mt. Vernon, IN 47620.
Memorial contributions may be made in Connie’s memory to Zion Lippe UCC.
