Frances Williams, 82, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Oakview Nursing and Rehab. She was born on November 20, 1940, in Mount Carmel, the daughter of Clifford Hutton and Mary (Hoover) Hutton. She married Harry Williams Jr. on June 2, 1972, and together they enjoyed forty-five years of marriage until his passing on October 17, 2017.
Frances devoted her life to being a homemaker. She enjoyed watching television, especially soap operas and game shows. The Price is Right was a favorite of hers. Frances loved her family dearly. Spending time with them brought her great joy, especially when she could babysit the little ones. Frances was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Frances leaves behind her son, Brian Williams; daughters, Barbara (Pat) Curtis, Diana (Michael) Grisham, Judy (Lloyd Wood) Williams, and Elizabeth (Nathan) Litherland; stepchildren, Wesley (Lucy) Williams, Michael Williams, B. Scott (Cheryl) Williams, Dennis (Cynthia) Williams, Debbie (Allen) Ideus, Sue Estes; many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill (Gwen) Hutton; several loved nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Kristy Curtis; brothers, Clifford Jr., Jerry, Noble, Charlie, Richard, and Clarence Hutton; sisters, Mildred Deline, Violet Young, and Sharon Frayser.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2023, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2023, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
