Ross Frank Barber, 85, of Princeton, Indiana, formerly of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 24, 1933 in Wabash County, Illinois, the son of Glenn and Lucinda (Mason) Barber. Frank married Viola “Loree” (Deisher) Barber on August 1, 1956 at the Church of God in Mount Carmel and together they enjoyed sixty-three years of marriage.
Frank will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Among his hobbies, he loved to read and enjoyed cheering on Indiana Basketball. Frank worked as a power units supervisor at Pacific Press and Shear for forty years where he made many friendships. He also faithfully served his Country in the United States Army. He was a devoted member of Heartland Worship Center formerly known as Pentecostal Assembly of God for fifty years. Above all, Frank loved his family and also loved his dogs. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
He remembered by his loving wife, Loree Barber of Princeton, IN; two sons, John Barber and wife Vivian of Virgina Beach, VA and Bryan Barber of Newburgh, IN; two grandchildren, Rachel Barber and Michael Barber of Hampton, VA; sister, Bessie Yarbor and husband John of Mount Carmel.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Johnny Barber, Roy Barber and Bill Barber.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Heartland Worship Center, 212 West Second Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Church with Pastor Tony Hodgson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel with Full Military Honors.
Memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s memory to Heartland Worship Center.
