Jack Dale Green, 86

Jack Dale Green, 86, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at The Waters of Princeton, Indiana, with his loving family by his side.

He was born February 22, 1932, the son of William Jesse and Lavada (Dossett) Green in East St. Louis, Illinois.

Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Airforce. He worked for Snap-On Tools, the railroad, Fearheiley Lumber and then became self employed as a carpenter for 40 years building several homes in the area, as well as traveling with his son to rebuild hurricane damaged communities in the 90’s. He built both bars at the Eagles. Jack was a huge Cardinal fan, loved NASCAR, and enjoyed playing horseshoes, mushroom hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his friends at the Eagles and VFW. He was a member of the VFW, Eagles, American Legion and Moose.

Jack is survived by his children, Pam Heddon and her husband Rob, David Green and his wife Corrinna, and Jackie Baumgart; four grandchildren, Nick (Ella) Davis, Telisha (Jordan) Rayborn, Shelbe (Jen) Hadra, and Katie Heddon; two great-grandchildren, Luke David Rayborn and Spencer Rose Rayborn; sister, Barbara Jean Price; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Charles Green, William Green, Annabelle Green, Robert Green and Shirley Lynch.

Per his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Eagles.
