Crum Reports On Civil Case Changes

Wabash County Circuit Clerk Angie Crum told commissioners that her office is changing how it handles paperwork for civil cases under a new state law. Effective January 1st, all civil case filings must be done on line. That mostly applies to lawyers, but Crum’s office is now set up to handle the e-filings directly. However, those who don’t have access to online filing may appeal to the court for a waiver, according to Crum.

Clock Ticking On Funding For Wabash Senior Ctr

There’s not much clarity when it comes to the future of the Wabash County Senior Citizens Center. At last night’s city council meeting, senior citizens commissioner Joe Judge said while state representative David Reis recently helped to release funding from the state for fiscal year ’17, the outlook is murky as to when the next check might come…

Judge said while the state money is a key component to funding the senior center, it’s not the only source….

Judge has said the local senior center has enough to money to last through most of February if no more money is received. He said right now the state owes $26,000 to the local center.
