Barbara Ann (Hutton) Jones, 64, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on May 1, 1962, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest Johnson and Hazil Louise (Miskell) Hutton.
Barbara loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She found joy in the everyday moments of life and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Barbara also enjoyed riding her bicycle throughout town, attending live music events at Merchant's Park, and visiting Fairfield Park to feed the ducks. She especially treasured her time working at the nursing home, where she spent many years caring for residents and building meaningful connections with those around her. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Barbara will be remembered by her two children, Amber Schell and Jonathon Jones; grandchildren, Tristen Belka and Maddison Schell; one sister, Wanda Davis; 110 nephews and 98 nieces; and many loved cousins.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters, Ruby Moore, Frances Huff, Kay Huff, Donna Huff, Betty Adams, Lori Whipple, Joanna Huff; three brothers, Johnson Hutton, Bill Hutton, and Chuck Hutton.
