Donna K. Hallam, 82, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois passed away on November 3, 2026, at Wabash General Hospital.
She was born on August 17, 1944, in Huntingburg, Indiana. She was the daughter of Robert Alexander and Nova Marie (Goodson) Phillips. She married Thomas Lee Hallam at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Carmel, Illinois on October 27, 1962 and they spent 64 years together.
Donna was a homemaker and also worked at Hardee’s for a number of years. She was a very prayerful woman.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; her children, Melissa Jo (Michael) Griggs and Kevin Eugene (Jeanie) Hallam; her siblings Deanna May Shonfild, Sandra Lou Hunt, Glinda Gail Teerlink, and stepsister, Sharon Long; her grandchildren, Rebecca Waddell and Zakery Hallam; and her great-grandchildren, Jackie LaMura and Bailey Waddell.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Jack Clark.
Visitation for Donna will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Short-Cunningham Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Short-Cunningham Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the service at Centerville Cemetery in White County, Illinois.
