William “Bill” Parr, 80, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at his residence. He was born on September 11, 1946, in Grandville, Tennessee, the son of Alva and Geraldine (Flatt) Parr. Bill proudly and faithfully served his Country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Bill worked in construction throughout his career. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. In his free time, he found enjoyment in riding motorcycles and watching NASCAR. Above all, Bill loved his family, who meant the world to him.
Bill will be remembered by his two brothers, Donald (Lydia) Parr and Robert Parr; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregory Parr Young; brother, Charles Raymond Parr; sister, Margaret Ann Swedenburg.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
