Timothy W. Walters, 66, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on March 20, 1959 in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the son of Glendale and Patricia (Holcomb) Walters. Tim married Lillian Colleen Gillihan on May 19, 1984 in Mount Carmel and together they enjoyed forty-one years of marriage.
Timothy faithfully served his country in the United States Army and the Army National Guard. In addition to his military service, he was dedicated to public safety through his involvement with emergency services, civil defense, and the Emergency Services and Disaster Agency (ESDA) in Wabash County. Tim spent several years working as a professional truck driver and generously volunteered his time as a firefighter. He had a deep passion for motorcycles and was proud to be a charter member of Rolling Thunder, an organization that honors Veterans and promotes awareness for POW/MIA issues. In his personal time, Timothy enjoyed woodworking and often built projects for his home. He also had a strong interest in technology and liked working on computers. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Tim will be remembered by his loving wife, Colleen Walters; three children, Jennifer (Ray) Krug, Alan (Janet) Clem, and Amanda (Joel) Palmer; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; one brother, Rick (Sue) Walters. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, David Walters.
In keeping with Tims wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
