Malvin Glen Kepley, 82

Malvin Glen Kepley, 82, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana, with his loving wife by his side.  He was born January 10, 1941, in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Glen E. and Edna (Thompson) Kepley.  He married Linda Walter on April 12, 1981, and they celebrated forty-two years of loving marriage.

Malvin worked on the family farm until he was in his forties and then went to work for Dersch Oil as a truck driver.  His true calling came a little later when he owned and operated a successful house painting business, Kepley Painting.  Malvin was a Rotary Club member where he was a past President and past Assistant Governor.  He also was a former member of the Elks, the Masons and for a time was a member of the Allendale Fire Department.  Malvin belonged to Poseyville Christian Church Disciples of Christ.  He was a very kind and caring man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

Malvin leaves behind his beloved wife, Linda; one son, Malvin Douglas Kepley; one daughter, Karen (Kepley) McGrane; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Joe Glass.

Malvin was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gwendolyn Kaye (Kepley) Glass. 

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. 

Memorial Services will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Rocky Wrye officiating. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Malvin’s memory to Wabash County Animal Shelter Buddies or Ed Walter Little League Park.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
