Marilyn D. Bosecker, 90, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, peacefully passed away Monday, January 22, 2024, at Wabash General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services for Marilyn will be held Friday, January 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Short-Cunningham Funeral Home, 527 N. Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Burial by her beloved husband will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
There will be a visitation of family and friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
Marilyn was born October 12, 1933, in Keensburg, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Marie (Walker) Coe. She graduated from Mt. Carmel High School. On September 5, 1953, Marilyn married Kenneth Bosecker at the Keensburg Methodist Church. To this union two children were born: Denise (Steven) Davis of Owensville, Indiana, and Janis (Tony) Vickers of Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Along with her daughters and their spouses, four grandchildren survive: Ryan (Jennifer) Davis, Erik (Abigail) Davis, Lauren and Brayden Vickers; and three great grandchildren: Ayden, Emma and Noah Davis.
Preceding Marilyn in death were her parents, husband, and great grandson, Nathan Davis.
Marilyn was a member of the Keensburg Christian Church. She enjoyed serving the Lord and reading the Bible. Marilyn worked for American Savings and Loan as a teller for many years. She loved to cook, read and spend time with her family.
Memorials may be made to Oblong Children’s Christian Home or Keensburg Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
