Norman “Bud” Beuligmann, 93

Norman “Bud” Beuligmann, 93, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away June 16, 2023, at Wabash General Hospital.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, with Fr. Robert Zwilling officiating. A burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

 Visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 2023, 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

 Bud was born to the late Gerhard and Josephine (Kieffer) Beuligmann on July 9, 1929. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and entered the service. Bud served during the Korean war on the front lines. He was married to Dorothy Crow Case on April 21, 1969, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. To this union Bud was blessed with two stepchildren:  Ann Hering of Mt. Carmel, Illinois and Janet Howard of Avon, Indiana. Also surviving are his five step-grandchildren: Mark (Shanon) Hering, Barbara (Michael) Monroe, Jeff (Kendra) Kelsey, Melinda Kelsey, and Abby (John) Greunke. Several step-great-grandchildren and 36 nieces and nephews and many cousins; brother Dr. Raymond Frederick (Beverly) Beuligmann of La Jolla, California; three sisters: Rosalind (James) Bender of Cynthiana, Indiana, Magdalen Johnson of Princeton, Indiana, and Marie Beuligmann of Huntington Beach, California, brother-in-law Chuck Colborg of Denver Colorado.. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters: Laverne Mollenhauer and Valeria Colborg; three brothers: Robert Eugene Beuligmann, Bernard Gerhard Beuligmann, and Gilbert Jerome Beuligmann.

 He worked as a Railroad Engineer until he retired. Bud was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed baking baked goods and sharing them with others. Bud was always willing to help others and truly enjoyed fixing up old bikes to give to children.

Memorials can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School or USAMV (provides clothing and equipment for the Mt. Carmel Honor Guard). Envelopes will be available at the service.
