Brad A. Wampler, 67

Brad A. Wampler, 67, of Allendale, Illinois, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, at home.  He was born on March 30, 1956, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the son of Robert and Eleanor (Schmittler) Wampler.  He married Mindy Sue Stoneberger on November 25, 1989, and they enjoyed thirty-four years of marriage. 

 Brad faithfully served his country in the United States Marines where he worked as a Military Policeman and was an expert rifleman.  In his civilian life, he worked as a master pipe fitter.  Brad had a love for martial arts and was proud to hold the title of an undefeated golden glove boxer and having earned a black belt in karate, jiu-jitsu and taekwondo.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, trapping and bow hunting.  Brad greatly enjoyed working in his garden. His two dogs, Gus, and Nahla held a special place in his heart.  His family and friends knew him to be quite a prankster.  Brad enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their sporting activities.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

 Brad leaves behind his loving wife, Mindy; daughters, Amanda ( Matt) Jenkins, Elly (Trevor) Richards, Jessica Wampler; sons, Joseph Wampler, Matthew Barber;  grandchildren, Christina and Thomas Daugherty, Kaiden and Keigen Jenkins, Ravyn Yokel, Jaxton Wampler, Brayden, Bryley, Isabella and Ian Barber, soon to arrive, Penelope Richards; two great-grandchildren; his mother Eleanor Maurice; brothers, Mark (Kathy) Wampler, Kevin Wampler; several loved nephews.    

 Brad was preceded in death by his father. 

 Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. 

 Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.   Following the Memorial Service, Full Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home.
