Laura Ann Walston, 60, of Bellmont, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 7, 1961, in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of Larry Paul King and Beverly (Blair) Love. She happily married Charles Walston on June 22, 2022.
Laura was employed most recently at Kieffer Lumber Company in Mount Carmel as a cashier. While residing in Tennessee, she refinished large pieces of furniture and was very proud of the excellent restorations she completed. Laura had an artistic talent and enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking. She was an excellent chef who made everything from scratch. Laura was a very sweet person with a joyful heart. Everything Laura did, she did with love and everyone around her felt that love. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Laura leaves behind her loving husband, Charles; mother, Beverly Love; two daughters, Sarah Ghast and Melanie Seymour; stepdaughter, Heather Walston; sisters, Emily Claywell, and Angela King; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Laura was preceded in death by her father; and stepfather, Gerald Love.
In keeping with Laura’s wishes, no formal services will be held at this time.
