Dwayne Leroy Carwile, 66, of West Salem, Illinois, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, at home. He was born on May 15, 1956, in Evansville, IN, the son of Samuel John and Janice (Carroll) Carwile. He married MaeBeth Burklow on May 3, 1980, and together they have enjoyed forty-two years of marriage centered around their family.
Dwayne worked as a construction contractor for many years. He was known as a “Jack of All Trades” and loved to fix things around the house. Dwayne never knew a stranger and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. He was an automobile enthusiast, being especially fond of Jeeps and Shelby cars. Dwayne was proud of his whole family and his grandchildren brought special joy to his heart. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Dwayne leaves behind his loving wife, MaeBeth; sons, Devon (Amber) Carwile, J.R. (Michelle); daughters, Roxanne (Eric) Strine, Evette (Mike) Futrell, Alexis (Cameron) Hoke; grandchildren, Michael, Aurora, Sally, Katie, Sierra, Dakota, Josie, Kaleb, Kaylen and Emma; brothers, Kent (Dee) Carwile, Johnny (Sonja) Carwile, Allen (Chris) Carwile, Jon Brinkmeyer, Robert Cujo Brinkmeyer; sisters, Cheryl (Chuck) Tewell, Julie (Jerry) Pauli; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his birth father, Bob Brinkmeyer whom he re-connected with later in life.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Sondra Burton.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2022, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
