Dennis R. Modena, 75, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2022 at his residence. He was born on March 22, 1947 in New Haven Connecticut, the son of Vitto and Sophia Marie (Harron) Modena.
Dennis had a great personality and always had a smile. He would get very excited about getting a Pepsi or Mt. Dew to drink and would sing “Oh Happy Days” and “Pepsi Generation” when he got his favorite drinks. He also loved to sing “I’ll Fly Away”.
Dennis enjoyed being around the residents and staff at River Oaks who were family to him and will be dearly missed at River Oaks.
In keeping with Dennis’ wishes a private burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville, IL.
