Delma M. Doan, 84

Delma M. Doan, 84, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Oakview Nursing and Rehab. She was born on June 18, 1937, in Francisco, Indiana, the daughter of Delmar and Bernadine (Arnold) Clem. She married Robert C. Doan and he preceded her in death in 1989.

Delma retired from Wabash District 348 after a twenty-seven-year career as a school bus driver. She was a nature lover, especially tropical fish, birds, and flowers. African Violets were among her favorites. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and crafts. Delma was of Christian faith and loved her family dearly. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Delma leaves behind two sons, Roger Doan of Mount Carmel, and Bill Doan of Owensville, IN; one daughter, Robin Doan of Mount Carmel; three grandchildren, Jackie Crawford, Jonathan Doan, and Joshua Doan; two great grandchildren, Josie and Jessie, with another on the way; brothers, John (Shirley) Clem; sister, Janie Johnson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Delma was preceded in death by her parent’s; husband; sisters, Edna Anderson, Georgetta Edgington, Linda Parker, Donna Sutton, Darlene Lawrence, and Pam Clem; three brothers, Bob, Paul, and George Clem.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Brother Bill Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Maumee Cemetery in Johnson, Indiana.
