Lewis E. Perry, 98, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Wabash General Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born March 26, 1923, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Walter and Helen (Byrum) Perry.
Lewis was a hard worker as a brick layer in the masonry business. He liked old cars. He enjoyed staying informed about world news and kept up with politics. Visiting Florida was one of his favorite things to do. Lewis was a member of Heartland Worship Center and will be missed by his family and friends.
Lewis leaves behind four sons, Walter, David, Mark and John Perry; two daughters, Candie Randall and Christy Perry; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one sister, Lu Jarmon.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Perry; sister, Mildred Perry.
In keeping with Lewis’ wishes, cremation will take place and no formal services will be held.
Memorial Contributions in Lewis’ memory may be given to Residential Hospice and will be accepted at the Funeral Home or may be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry St. Mt. Carmel, IL 62863.
