Patricia Marie Dee (Patty), 56

On Tuesday afternoon, August 24th, 2021, Patricia Marie Dee (Patty), loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home of Seneca, SC at the age of 56. She was born in Mt. Carmel, IL on December 6th, 1964 to Mary Ann and J. Roy Dee, Jr.

Patty attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, Mt. Carmel High School, and Clemson University where she earned a degree in Business Management. Later, she followed her passion and went back to Clemson University for her Master Gardener degree.

Patty moved to Seneca and has spent the last 30 years with her husband Danny Hutchinson. She worked diligently with him at Hutch-N-Son Construction. Their beautiful home on Lake Keowee was her “Happy Place”, so she never desired to travel.

Patty had a passion for birds, gardening, and her grandchildren who were the joy of her life. Patty also loved her Clemson Tigers and she was “All In”, never missing a football game. She was a hard worker, had a lot of talents, and touched many people’s lives. She loved helping her florist friend deliver flowers on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. She was loved by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Genevieve Kelley and husband Leroy of West Union, SC and her grandchildren Caleb, Franklin, Martha, and Mary Kelley.

She is also survived by siblings; Coleen (Merle) Butterick, Asheville, NC, Teresa Salmon, Deland, FL, J. Roy (Debbie) Dee, III, Mt. Carmel, IL, Susan Crabb, Ocala, FL, Angela Dee (Ed Sikora) and Mike (Shannon) Dee, Aliceville, AL, Sara (Dave) Kroeger, Ellen Bass, Bridgeport, IL, and Jean (Matt) Lewis, Edwardsville, IL. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Patty is preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathryn Banks and brother John Dee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Davenport Funeral Home is helping with the arrangements. In COVID consciousness, the family will have a private Celebration of Life in Seneca, SC on Saturday, August 28th.
