Teresa Lynn Berberich, 56, of Bellmont, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on April 22, 1965 in Laurel, Mississippi, the daughter of Kathy and Ralph Whitehouse, Sr. Teresa married Mike Berberich on November 9, 2004 and together they enjoyed sixteen years of marriage.
Teresa lived her life centered on her family and treasured her time with grandchildren. She always looked forward to camping trips to Rend Lake where they could all be together. Teresa had a gift for repurposing things and making old things look new. She also loved to go shopping and was always excited when she found a good deal. Teresa had a big heart and that showed in her work as a CNA. In her thirty plus years in health care, she worked at many local nursing homes and hospitals. She also worked at Addus HomeCare as a field supervisor and always made sure her clients had the best care. Teresa loved being outdoors and tending to her flower gardens. She was of Christian faith and will be missed by her family and friends.
Teresa will be remembered by her husband, Mike Berberich; sons, Aaron (Becca) Foshee, Timothy Berberich and Matthew Berberich; daughters, Alicia Wilson and Ashley (Michael) Hammond; grandchildren, Raelynn and Rhett Foshee, Kendalyn Swift, Gatlyn Riddick, Ethan, Jager, Jossalin and Kameryn Hammond, Braydon, Kathlyn, Evan, Brynlynn, Logan, and Aubrella Berberich; two great grandchildren, Isaiah and Easton Hammond; mother, Kathy Whitehouse; brothers, George, Tommie and Andy Ervin, Junior (Tiffany) Whitehouse; sisters, Tammie Whitehouse, Leisa (Neil) Brown, and Kay (Michial) Phillips; special friend, Janis Lance; many loved nieces and nephew.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Ralph E. Whitehouse, Sr; grandmother Margaret Fleming; several other family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Lick Prairie Cemetery.
Family and friends may gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
The family has asked that all guest in attendance at the Visitation and Funeral Service be required to wear a mask.
