Chad M. Dilley, 42, of Bone Gap, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel, Illinois. He was born on August 14, 1978 in Mount Carmel, the son of Terry Dilley and Phyllis (Brown) Harms.
Chad was a member of the Mount Carmel High School graduating class of 1996. While in school, he was a valued member of the Aces Wrestling Team. He greatly enjoyed the sport and went on to compete in MMA after high school. Chad has been employed by Walmart Corporation for twenty-one years where he was a manager. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time at the Wabash River with family and friends. He looked forward to the family cookouts held there. His family was very important to him. Chad was proud of his children and greatly enjoyed watching them participate in sports. His granddaughter held a special place in his heart. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Chad leaves behind his daughters, Emily Jefferson and husband Kyler, Felicia Dilley; son, Patrick Dilley; granddaughter, Elizabeth Jefferson and a grandchild on the way; father, Terry Dilley; step-father, Phillip Harms who lovingly raised him; brothers, Phillip Lang, John Dilley and wife Mindy; sisters, Kimberley Sergesketter, Becky Durbin; maternal grandfather, Jerry Dunkel; paternal grandmother, Shirley Dilley; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Chad was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Jason Dilley; maternal grandparents, Ann Dunkel and Robert Brown; paternal grandfather, Jessie Dilley.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2021 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. Social distancing practices will be in place. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Jim Burns officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Chad’s memory to The American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
