Mitchell Jay “Mitch” Clore, 72, of Bellmont, Illinois, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Deaconess Hospital Mid-Town in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on June 12, 1948 in Jackson, Michigan, the son of James and Kathleen (Austin) Clore. Mitch married Dorothy “Dolly” Tapsell on January 5, 1969 and together they enjoyed fifty-one years of marriage. Dolly preceded him on death on September 25, 2020. Mitch and Dolly loved each other so much and are reunited together again.
Mitch was a loving husband, father and grandfather who treasured the time he spent with family. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army. Mitch loved being outdoors, camping with family, hunting, fishing and arrowhead hunting. He also enjoyed bowling with family and friends. Mitch enjoyed traveling with Dolly and always looked forward to family vacations. He was a devoted employee for Pacific Press and Shear where he began working in 1972 and just recently retired. During his working career, Mitch made many friendships. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Mitch will be remembered by his children, Tammy (Travis Hering) Warmack, Mary (Scott) Rayborn, Michelle (Doug) Isaac and Mitchell Clore; grandchildren, Brandon (CJ Simpson) Clore, Gage (Keirsten) Ellinghausen, Brice (Molly) Ellinghausen, Reece Isaac, Samantha Clore, Logan Rayborn, Evan Isaac, Wyatt Warmack, Mason Rayborn, Mahayla Clore, Brayden Rayborn, Jayce Clore and Jazmyne Clore; great grandchildren, Sophia Clore, Kaylyn Cropper, Emmett Ellinghausen, Kinley Ellinghausen, Torryn Simpson, Jax Ellinghausen; siblings, Marilyn (Ken) Cooper, Marsha (Pat) Clark, Melvin (Donna) Clore and Marshall (Judy) Clore; special friend, Jada Hutchings; sister in law, Molly (Don) Windmiller; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mitch was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolly Clore; and brother, Michael Clore.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2020 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. Social distancing practices will be in place and facial coverings would be appreciated.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., October 8, 2020 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Richison officiating. Following the Funeral Service Full Military Honors will be presented for Mitch’s faithful service in the Army.
