Tony Campbell, 57, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Linda E. White Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 22, 1962 in Princeton, Indiana, the son of Louis and Alva (Slunder) Campbell. He married Angie Howard on May 15, 1987 and she survives.
Tony worked as a Boilermaker for twenty years before becoming disabled. He loved music, especially the songs from The Beatles. Tony enjoyed playing his guitar. He enjoyed fishing, was a football fan, enjoyed UFC fights and loved his dog, Harley. Tony was a Christian and loved God. He was a family man and his grandchildren were his world. Tony attended Union Mission Church. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Tony will be lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-one years, Angie; son Tanner (Ariel Bowdoin) Campbell; daughter, Erica (Shane) Cooper; grandchildren, Jason Ford, Blake, Brice and Jackson Cooper, Brayden, Brenna and Brylyn Green; God-daughter, Amber (Keith) Green; brothers, Mike (Shirley) Campbell, Andy (Renee) Campbell, Dennis Campbell; sisters, Peggy Wheeler, Kate (Robin) Keys, Trish (Jim) Harms.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; Brother, Jeff Campbell; and brother-in-law, Jim Wheeler.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2019 in the Chapel of the Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2019 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Tim Bobbitt officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in Tony’s memory to the family to offset funeral expenses. Envelopes will be at the Church or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
