Starretta “Starr” Beal, 75, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed Friday, November 1, 2019 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation surrounded by the love of her family. She was born June 8, 1944 in Mount Carmel, the daughter of Bill Landford and Neldia McCrary.
Starr loved being outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. She had a love for animals, particularly dogs. She was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Eagles club where she made many friends whom she thought of as family. Starr really enjoyed dancing. She will be dearly missed.
Starr will be lovingly remembered by her son, Bradley “Jay” Greathouse of Princeton, IN; daughters, Rickie (Ronnie) Bick of Carlinville, IL, Jamie (Billy) Tolliver of Mt. Carmel, Robin Tinsley of Elk City, OK, Danielle (Kevin) White of Poseyville, IN, Dara Wetter of Princeton, IN; twelve grandchildren, Haley Bick, Ashley Bick, Shadae Bick, Ronnie (Caylin) Bick, Jayson (Brandy) Hall, Travis Tinsley, Trenton (Heather) Tinsley, Chris (Jessica) Mangiantini, Camrun (Mike) Blaylock, Cory (Brittney) Henson, Rachel (Quincy) Penner, Jacquelyn Bergenzer; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Starr was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Per Starr’s wishes, cremation will take place and no formal Funeral Service will take place.
