Maximino J. “Max” Tarlton, 57, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Linda E. White Hospice Center in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on May 27, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Sandra (Brishki) Tarlton. Max married Benita Howard on October 6, 1979 and together they enjoyed thirty-nine years of marriage centered on their family.

Max will be remembered for being a loving husband, father and Grandad. Max could be described as a blue-collar working man who was very talented in his trade. He was a proud Boilermaker for twenty-three years. Max would travel to where the work was but in recent years has worked in the local tri-state area to be close to his family. Max was a member of the Boilermakers Union Local # 374. He had a very giving spirit and would drop everything to help someone in need. Max loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. In his free time, Max loved to cheer on the Dallas Cowboys and listen to Johnny Cash. Max had accepted the Lord in his life and this decision brought great comfort to his family. He will be missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

Max will be remembered by his loving wife, Benita Tarlton of Mount Carmel; children, Bethany (Patrick Flannigan) Stephens of Carmi, IL, Jeff (Marci) Tarlton of Marion, IL and Michael (Lauren Smith) Tarlton of Owensville, IN; grandchildren, Gracey and Marley Stephens and Abram, Samuel and Meili Tarlton; two brothers; one sister; father and mother in law, Nina and Gary Howard; brother in law, Gary Howard, Jr.; sister in law, Angie (Tony) Campbell; along with several nieces and nephews.
