Wanda R. Schwartz, 86, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2019 at Wabash General Hospital surrounded by the love of her family. She was born December 12, 1932 in Wabash County, Illinois, the daughter of Charles “Otto” and Elizabeth (Ross) Case.
Wanda was a 1950 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. She was retired from Wabash General Hospital as a Ward Clerk. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. Wanda was a yard sale enthusiast who frequently traveled the World’s Longest Yard Sale with her daughter gathering treasures. Wanda dearly loved her children and grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She was a member of the Mount Carmel Free Methodist Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Wanda will be remembered by her children, Robert Glen Schwartz of Mount Carmel, Illinois, Janet Elaine Brown of Antioch Tennessee; grandchildren, Andy Banks, Tim (Liz) Schwartz; great-granddaughters, Nina Angela and Sydney Emma Banks and many loved nieces and nephews.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Maggie Schwartz; sister, Ruby Kirk; four half-brothers, Arthur, Lewis, Howard and Lawrence Anderson; three half-sisters, Hazel Dike, Mary Harrison and Eva Jordan.
Family and friends are invited to gather for Visitation from 2:00p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastors Deron Colgan and Brad Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
