Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home to honor the life of Darwin K. Johnson. Pastor Gene Siverly conducted the service. Prior to the start of the service the Mount Carmel Honor Guard had a walk through salute. Scripture readings included Psalm 23 and Second Samuel 12:15-23. Darwin’s grandsons shared fond memories. Musical selection during the service included “Landside”, “My Way”, “House of the Rising Sun” and “My Old Man”. Burial took place at Highland Memorial Cemetery where our local Honor Guard presented an American Flag to Darwin’s family for his faithful service in the United States Army. They also conducted a twenty one gun salute with “Taps” being played by Bill Hudson. Pallbearers were Brian Covalt, Chad Covalt, David Easterday, Mike Stewart, Jerod Majors and Keith Green.
