Loyde Ray Sayge

 

          Loyde Sayge, 65, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois passed away on Thursday, November 23 at his residence surrounded by his family.

          He was born on Friday November 14, 1952 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the son of Loyde Junior and Elsie Louise (Moutray) Sayge. He proudly served his country in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne division. He started welding in 1990 and was a pipe welder/fitter for 27 years.

          Loyde loved kayaking and fishing but spending time with his grandchildren was his greatest enjoyment.

          Left to cherish his memories are his children; four sons and two daughters, Georgia Rae Sayge, Jordan Loyde Sayge, Justin Lewis (Tasha) Sayge, Jared Lee (Andrea) Sayge, Ginger Laine Sayge and Garrett Lee Sayge; five grandchildren; Christian and Alyssa Sayge, Dathan Kelch, Shain and Hannah Weir. Also surviving are two sisters Sonja (Phil) Hall and Carmen (the late Butch) Littrell and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

          Preceding him in death are his parents.

          Loyde will have a memorial visitation on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm in the chapel of Short Funeral Home at 527 N Mulberry Street.
