On 9/03/19 Mt. Carmel Police arrested Randy R. Batterton, age 62, of Mt. Carmel, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol following a vehicle crash in the 800 block of West 6th Street. Batterton reportedly struck a parked vehicle and then continued to his nearby home. The investigating officer found evidence to indicate impairment on Batterton which resulted in his arrest. Batterton was taken to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged and later released after the posting of bond.
