Mt. Carmel Police arrested 37 year old Nathan G. Jackson of Mt. Carmel after police found him digging through a trash can in the 100 block of Market Street. Police knew Jackson was wanted on a St. Clair County failure to appear warrant. Police made contact with Jackson and placed him under arrest. Police found suspected drug paraphernalia on his person. Jackson was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending transfer to St. Clair County. Jackson was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
