The Mt. Carmel City Council has approved spending $25,660 to fix a storm water drain at 7th and Chestnut Streets near the Wabash County Health Department. The storm drain has been washing out and has collapsed. Without attention, officials are fearful it could lead to part of the street caving in. A 24 inch section of pipe will be replaced as part of the project which will be done by Kieffer Brothers Construction and cause the intersection to be closed.
