WHERE: Currie Rd just South of Brubaker Rd– (Marion County)
WHEN: 06/26/2019 @ 06:46 a.m.
VEHICLES: UNIT 1 - Black Chevrolet Sedan
DRIVER: UNIT 1 - Chad Hawkey, 47 Year Old of Kinmundy IL
PASSENGERS:Unit 1 –NONE
TRANSPORTS: UNIT 1 – Unit 1 Passenger was pronounced deceased on scene by the Marion County Coroner.
PRELIMINARY: Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit #1 was traveling Currie Rd Northbound from Basom Rd in Marion County. Unit 1 pulled onto the railroad tracks and was struck by a train. Unit 1 driver was fatally injured. Investigation is continuing.
