Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces won big over Richland County Lady Cubs 12-0 in 4 innings during the first round of Regionals!
The Jr Aces, after getting the Cubs 3-up and 3-down defensivley, scored 5 runs in the first inning, scattering 5 walks, 3 singles and a sacrifice fly over 11 at bats to go up 5-0.
After again sitting Richland County down in 3 at bats, the Jr Lady Aces had 2 singles, a walk, reached on an error and a fielders choice to make the score 8-0 going into the 3rd inning.
The bottom of the 3rd inning saw the Jr Lady Aces with a double, two singles, a walk and a couple good ground outs to push 3 more runs across the plate, for an 11-0 lead.
After three quick outs on defense, the Jr Lady Aces headed back to offense, where they had a double, a single and two walks to walk the 12th run home and end the game 12-0 in the bottom of the 4th inning!
Harper Warnken threw a perfect game for the Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces. She faced 12 batters over 4 innings, getting seven strikeouts in her 56 pitches thrown!
Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces piled up 10 hits in the game. Lexi Sisson went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Jr Lady Aces with hits. Willow Gayer and Addison Carmickle each drove in two runs with 2 hits each in their at-bats. TaeLynn Wade, Harper Warnken and Aveah Miller each added a base hit during this game!
The Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces will compete against the Flora Lady Pups Saturday morning at 10:00 in Flora for the Regional Championship title!
