Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces took Thursday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-4 walk-off victory over Lady Bullpups. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the seventh when Olivia W was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.
Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces were the first to get on the board in the first when one run scored on a dropped third strike.
A passed ball extended the Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
Lady Bullpups took the lead, 4-2, in the top of the sixth thanks to singles by Auna G, and Alyss C.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces went back into the lead after Addison C doubled to center field, Alyvia T singled to center field, and Olivia was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.
Harper W led things off in the circle for Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces. The hurler gave up five hits and four runs (three earned) over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one. Sophia J started the game for Lady Bullpups. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and two runs over four innings, striking out five and walking five.
Alyvia led Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces with three hits in three at bats. Olivia, Alyvia, Harper, and Addison each drove in one run for Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces. TaeLynn W led Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. TaeLynn stole two bases.
Anna G and Alyss were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Lady Bullpups. Lady Bullpups turned one double play in the game.
Mt Carmel Jr Lady Aces welcome NMS Lady Raiders on Tuesday for their next game.
