On Thursday, September 12th, Yellow Jackets Baseball hosted Wayne City in non-conference action. After one inning, the Yellow Jackets held the lead at 2-1. It was tied after two innings at 2 apiece, then Wayne City held the lead after three innings at 5-4. After the fourth inning, Wayne City still led 7-5. From there, it went to 10-5, 10-6, and a huge 7th inning for Wayne City led to a final score of 23-6 in 7 innings. Offensively for the Yellow Jackets: Brendan Bowser was HBP and scored a run; Rhett Andrews had a single, 3 walks, and scored 2 runs; Chase Gher had 2 hits; Levi Margelin had one walk; Michael Smith had a walk; Isaiah Courter had a single, walk, and scored a run; and Tristan Bray had a walk and scored twice. Pitching for the Yellow Jackets were Chase Gher, Brendan Bowser, and Isaiah Courter. The Yellow Jackets are now 0-8 on the season. Next up: home against Grayville on September 16th at 4:30 pm.
