Warriors Drop 4th Straight

The Wabash Valley Warriors dropped their fourth game in a row on Sunday at St. Louis. They were part of a eight team St. Louis Community College Shootout at Forest Park. They lost to Moberly Area College 101 to 88. The game was close and tied at 18 all when the Greyhounds would go on a run a build a nine point advantage with 7:58 left in the half 32 to 23. Half time found Moberly up four 46 to 42. The Warriors would pull to within one at 82 to 81 with five minutes to play but was outscored in the final five minutes 25 to nine. WVC is now 4-5 while Moberly improves to 10-1. Moberly was ranked 8th in the nation in the NJCAA preseason poll.

In another game in the Shootout it was Three Rivers defeating Southwestern Illinois by the score of 106 to 90. Brandon Fitzjerrells had 16 points in the game and was three of 10 from behind the arc---a different game than the night before when he helped guide SWIC over WVC and hitting the winning basket at the buzzer
