Benjamin Morris Conrad, 44, of Albion Illinois, formerly of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on September 10, 1981, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Cheryl and Mike Reilly and Randy Conrad.
Ben was a member of the Mount Carmel High School Graduating Class of 2000. He worked as an electrician in the construction industry. Ben was a history buff and was really into learning all aspects of history. He had an artistic flair and could build anything. His final project was building a minibike from scratch. Ben greatly enjoyed getting together with his family. His presence will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Ben leaves behind his parents; daughters, Hailey Conrad, Paige Musgrave and husband George, Dezirae Bailey, Cloe Conrad; siblings, Michael Conrad, Sarah Reilly, Amanda Stover, Eric Conrad, Steven Conrad, Spencer Conrad; special uncle, Gregory Morris, several nieces and nephews.
Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leonard Morris, Barbara Morris and Lynnea Morris; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Patricia Conrad.
Ben’s family will be hosting a celebration of life, 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Mount Carmel Eagles Banquet Hall.
