Ryan Dawson Haught, 26, of Bellmont, Illinois, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026. He was born on March 28, 2000, in Fairfield, Illinois, the son of Richard A. Haught and Corrie L. (Simpson) Gompf. Ryan was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School Class of 2018.
Ryan loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He was an avid reader who especially enjoyed anime nonfiction. Ryan enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. He worked in the deli at Buehler’s Buy Low, where he took great pride in helping others. In his free time, Ryan loved being outdoors, taking walks, and playing golf. He especially treasured the trips he took out west with his dad and the memories they made together. Ryan will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
Ryan will be remembered by his father, Richard Haught; sister, Taylor (Aaron Comegys) Haught; maternal grandparents, Roy and Debra Wright; two nieces, Amiya Comegys and Addison Comegys; two nephews, Aaron Comegys II and Zayden Comegys; first cousins, Kelsie Simpson, Kenzie Simpson, Joshua Blevins, Kale Haught; many loved aunts and uncles.
Ryan was preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandparents, Richard and Carolyn Haught, Sr.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2026, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2026, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
