Jeffrey K. Wyatt, 67, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on January 8, 1959, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the son of Jean (Hedge) Welton, and Keith and MaryAnn Wyatt.
As a young boy, Jeff loved playing youth baseball and was sometimes coached by his father. He also loved hunting with him. Jeff first worked in the oilfields with his father and was self-employed most of his life. He built and operated Twin Rivers, a restaurant on the banks of the Wabash River where it joins the White River. It was a very popular choice to dine out for both the locals and neighboring communities in Illinois and Indiana. He worked diligently at his restaurant until it’s closing in 2023. In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed hunting mushrooms when in season and playing poker with his friends. His most favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandchildren, children and his sisters, all whom he dearly cherished.
Jeff leaves behind his children, Tory Gilbert and husband Shane, Talley (Jeremy Phelps) Wyatt, Jacob (Devyn Stewart) Wyatt, Tristyn (Fidel Toto) Wyatt, Kristyn Murray and husband Zach; grandchildren, Ava, Aubrey, Ainsley, Zeb, Olivia, Owen, Dixie, Hallie, Tatum; siblings, Tanya Siekman and husband Von, Kim Keepes and husband Danny, Robin Spore, April Simpson and husband Mike; many loved nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Kenny Spore.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. There will be no Public Visitation prior to the Funeral Service. Guests are asked to begin arriving at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
