Deloris McRaven, 94, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Wabash General Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on August 10, 1931, in Lancaster, Illinois, the daughter of Claude and Sadie (Struble) Hosmer. She married Joseph L. McRaven who preceded her in death on December 17, 1978.
Deloris was the owner and operator of The Magic Touch Beauty Salon for fifty years. She and her husband loved to travel, with one of their favorite trips being to a ranch in Colorado known as Peaceful Valley. Deloris and Joseph were active members of the Mt. Carmel Promenades, an area square dance club. Deloris had great love for her family, and she will be dearly missed by them.
Deloris leaves behind her children, Ken McRaven and wife Irene, Linda McRaven, Brenda Lindsey, Roger McRaven and wife Sherry; granddaughters, Jennifer (Dan) French, Amanda (Marcus) Fife, Heather (Brett) Miller; grandsons, Joseph McRaven, Paul and Sam Fife; great grandson, Aiden James Miller.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
Graveside Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Highland Memorial Cemetery with her son, Ken McRaven officiating. Deloris will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Joseph.
