Donald (Don) Craig, 74

Donald (Don) Craig of Wabash County passed away on Tuesday, February 18 in Newburgh, Indiana. Don was born on February 2, 1951 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to John and Doris (Chapman) Craig. Don earned his Master’s of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling from Lincoln Christian Seminary and, later in life, a Master’s in Education from Oakland City University. Don had a heart for helping others and loved both his patients and his students. 

Don married Sandra Shain in 1974 and began an almost 51 year journey with her. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, daughter Melissa (Nic) Conner, and son, Peter (Ashley) Craig. Also surviving are the loves of his life, his grandbabies: Craig Conner, Myles Conner, Deacon Conner, Harper Craig, and Millie Craig. Also surviving are his brother, Jim (Linda) Craig, sister, Jean (Bob) Guy, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant grandbaby, Aiden; brother, Richard Craig; and father-in-law Pete Shain.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 2 at Albion Presbyterian Church – 110 Elm St. - Albion, Illinois with visitation from 2 until 3 p.m. and a service following.
