Daniel Edward Aud, 33, of Elberfeld, Indiana, passed away on December 25, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1992 in Henderson, Kentucky, the son of Robert and Toni (Creamer) Aud. He was a 2011 graduate of Carmi-White County High School, where he helped take his wrestling team to State tournament in his senior year. Daniel was a hard-working young man. From age of sixteen, he took on a full-time job with Carmi Lumber, and he continued that strong work ethic throughout his remaining years.
Daniel married Brooklyn Dudley on August 2, 2022. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and son, whom he loved beyond measure. There was nothing he wouldn’t have done for them, and that same love and devotion extended to his entire family. Daniel was a wonderful husband, father, son, and the very best big brother.
His smile could light up a room. He had a goofy, fun-loving personality that made him a joy to be around. A proud nerd at heart, he embraced it fully and everyone loved him all the more for it. To those closest to him, he was known by many nicknames, including Danny, Daniel-San, Wolfie, Floki and Faulk FireBeard. Daniel loved gaming with his friends and sisters and had recently discovered a new joy in listening to audiobooks with his wife. Above all, he was excited for the future, especially the countless Lego sets he looked forward to building with his son.
Daniel will be remembered by his wife, Brooklyn Aud; son, Neo Adrian Aud; father, Robert Aud; mother, Toni Aud; four siblings, Brianna Schoemaker (Jordan), Lindsay Rogers (June), Jaylen Rogers, and Natalie (Rogers) Escobar; father and mother-in-law, Victor and Sylvia Dudley; brother-in-law, Byron Ayscue; brother-in-law, Brayden (girlfriend Faith) Dudley; sister and brother-in-law, Bre (Dudley) and Evan Wissel; sister-in-law, Leeua Dudley; many loved nieces, nephews and many friends who were like brothers to him. Daniel also had a great love for his four-legged babies as well, Aslaug, Albus and Neon.
A Private Visitation will be held with Daniel’s closest family and friends in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Daniel’s memory may be made to his wife, Brooklyn Aud, through her Venmo account (Brooklyn_Aud), to help with final expenses.
