Brenda Kurtz, 72, of Grayville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Wabash General Hospital. She was born on May 23, 1951, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Carrol L. and Mildred (Waggoner) Schroeder. She married Dennis Kurtz on May 31, 1969, and together they have celebrated fifty-four years of marriage centered around their love and family.
Brenda was known as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She worked at Champion Laboratories on the assembly line and was a hard worker who everyone loved. Brenda was full of energy and had a super bubbly personality. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking with her favorite being desserts. She enjoyed gardening and camping trips. Brenda had a special love for her husband, Dennis. She loved spending time with her family, with her grandchildren bringing her great joy. Brenda was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Grayville. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Brenda leaves behind her beloved husband, Dennis; one son, Raymond Kurtz and wife Lisa; one daughter, Stacy Oliver and husband John; grandchildren, Gavin and Xander Kurtz, Joshua, Evan, and Stephan Oliver; sister, Elaine Trusty; many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Rick Schroeder.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
