Kenneth “Kenny” McBride, 70, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Oakview Heights Nursing and Rehab. He was born on May 19, 1953 in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of Clayton and Donna (Burger) McBride.
Kenny was a self-employed truck driver for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed horseback riding, camping, and fishing. Kenny enjoyed spending time at the river camp with family and friends. He loved to cook and was famous for his fish, which was greatly enjoyed by all who attended his fish fry gatherings. In his younger years, he loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and owned a motorcycle repair shop. Kenny loved his family and his grandbabies brought special joy to him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Kenny leaves behind three daughters, Chastity McDaniel, Holly Vaughan and husband Shane, Pepper Mullins, and husband Troy; grandchildren, Maddie (John Perrott) McDaniel, Bethany McDaniel, William Mayberry, Brayden Vaughan, Dakota (Bri) Mullins; great-grandchildren, Mason Perrott, Kiara & Amelia Mullins; one brother, Mike (Beverly) McBride; stepsister, Dorothy Fox; two loved nieces, and special friend, Selena Keepes.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Chester McBride.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2023 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2023 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Wright and Father Robert Zwilling officiating.
