Shelby S. Weaver, 82

Shelby S. Weaver, 82, of Keensburg, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 19, 1941 in Clinton, Tennessee, the son of Isaac and Nettie (Daniels) Weaver. Shelby married Mildred Verdick on April 13, 1963 and together they enjoyed sixty years of marriage centered around their family.

Shelby will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. Shelby was the happiest when he was spending time with the grandchildren and always loved keeping up with their activities. Shelby was very handy, enjoyed woodworking and making gifts for family and friends. Shelby also enjoyed being outdoors and going on walks. He liked to work in his garden and always looked forward to spending time on the water fishing. Shelby was an avid sports fan and loved cheering for the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Shelby will be remembered by his loving wife, Mildred; daughters, Roberta Lambert and husband Brian of Keensburg, and Amy Neville and husband Scott of Albion; grandchildren, Brittany (Josh) Campbell, Samantha (Brent) Bates, Rebecca (Trevor) Sawyer, Madeline Kieffer and Bradley Lambert; great grandchildren, William Kieffer, Mason Kieffer, James “JT” Ross, Wynter Campbell, Cersei Campbell, Ava Bates, Austin Bates, Millie Spore, Adler Bates, Raelynn Foshee, Rhett Foshee and Ella Lambert; brother, Fred (Linda) Weaver; sister, Faye Osborne; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Shelby was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carolyn Weaver; two grandsons, Dustin Kieffer and Tad Lambert; two brothers, Jessie Weaver, and Leon Weaver; four sisters, Joyce Hansard, Shirley Duncan, Liz Ward, and Helen Verdick.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Wright officiating
