Trena Ann Linson, 65

Trena Ann Linson, 65, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away at home on Monday, September 12, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Trena was born on October 20, 1956 in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of Norman and Oma (Richardson) Cox.  She married Johnnie A. Linson on September 14, 1990 and together they enjoyed thirty-two years of marriage.

Trena will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who treasured her family dearly.  She was very fond of animals and loved her two dogs dearly.  In her free time, she loved attending the Indy 500 and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.  Trena also loved getting in the car and going for a drive.  She always looked forward to trips to Gatlinburg taking in the many sights.  Trena also found peace at the ocean and loved sitting at the beach.  She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work and loved being able to help people.   While she lived in Mount Carmel, Trena attended Evangelical United Methodist Church.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

Trena will be remembered by her loving husband, John Linson; two sons, Jason Kamp and Bobby Joe (Lori) Linson; three grandchildren, Tierza Kamp, McKenzie Linson, and Joyce Lang.

Trena was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert “Al” Cox.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2022, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Richison officiating.  Burial will follow at Adam’s Corner Cemetery in Wabash County, Illinois.

Memorial contributions may be made in Trena’s memory to Wabash County Animal Shelter Buddies.  Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
